Tom Pickard at Danny's
It was great to see Tom again at Danny's, reading with the fascinating Elizabeth Arnold. In his honor, I'm relinking to a bit of his journal, exclusive to this blog, and to his commentary on Basil Bunting's poem to him, "What the Chairman Told Tom." Here, too, is Ange Mlinko's recent piece for Harriet.
Listening to Tom read his work is one of my favorite things (especially when he recites "Hawthorn"), and I've got some stunning audio of the reading he did for us at Harvard; till I can get this legitimately released, hear him here.
P.S. Thanks to the Danny's DJ who put "I Often Dream of Trains" on the turntable!
