Mama mia!

"Electronic Arts has announced that it has bought the rights to make a game based on Dante's Inferno - the most well-known of the books in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. What's more than that, Electronic Arts also owns the rights to a film and TV adaptation." The game will be "a modern interpretation of the work and will detail Dante's 'fight through the depths of hell.'"

(Me, I'm waiting for them to take on the Pisan Cantos!)

Update: Johnny Depp in the lead role!!

Why would they have to buy the rights to a book by an author who died around seven centuries ago??

I wondered that myself, Andrew! Somebody's going to burn for that one...
